LO3: Sound

 Sound Editing 

As with the other micro elements and media language, sound creates alot of meaning and especially emotion from the audience. Sound helps the audience feel a certain way.

Groups

Digetic- (action, environment, sound effects to make the action sound more realistic. Dialogue which can be conversations that are heard between characters and help us understand the narrative.  which is heard by characters)  

non-Digetic( soundtrack,  which cant be heard by characters. These are done to emphasis the scene to make it more interesting. Instruments are normally used to create tension in a film.)

Sting: sound that is used as punctuation. Signal an enigma.

Incidental Music: Music that is heard only by the audience by fits the themes of action that is taking place. Pace and Tempo emphasise the connotations of the action.

In the final race in Fast and Furious takes place between Brian O Conner and Dominic Torreto, has them driving a Dodge Charger and a Toyota Supra. The way the film producers make this real is by having them use the real models and by making sure the audience can hear the car engines more clearly. By doing this it will make the scene feel more realistic.  Also, we could also have shot views from inside the cars when they are changing gear. This will also make it more realistic as we are getting different views from the scene. However, the main purpose of this scene could be to influence more people into classic and JDM cars as we rarely see them on streets, and just aren't that popular. This could then include more people wanting to buy these type of cars as the influence from the characters and cars was a large benefit for the film and the car companies used during this film franchise.
